Don't worry about it.

That's plenty, but not really 'too much either'. Worst case scenario next time you take off the cooler is you have to spend a minute more on cleaning the paste.

What paste did you use?

phantek ph ndc. I didn't have any mx4 left. why is it bad? it's my first build i really dont want to destory anything.

I just wanted to check this on the paste:

That is something I just checked to make sure if some thermal paste made its way on the board it wouldn't do any damage.

There is nothing to worry about and the different thermal paste options are within a single degree from each other, so nothing to worry about :)
