Black Screen Then Restarts

Hey guys i need some help with this one i got a problem with my PC when its running sometimes it goes to black screen and then it restarts sometime when im just on the desktop and sometimes in games i can see with bluescreenview that it is dxgkrnl.sys, dxgmms1.sys and nvlddmkm.sys that crashes i don't have anything overclocked and its not because of overheating what could it be then

 

My Specs are:

Asus p6t

i7 920 Stock

8Gb Corsair Xms 3 1600mhz

Asus Gta 480

Thermaltake 775Watt

Corsair H50

Seems to be a graphics driver problem - have you installed the latest version of it? If not, do that. If you have, then try reverting to previous drivers / reinstalling them.

i just installed a previous driver to see if it helps and just abit more info sometimes when i start my PC my 480 Whines and don't show anything on the screen untill i either power it down and start it again or just press the restart button and then it's fine so maybe my 480 is dying

Checked the power cables to the GPU? Any pins that look out of place at all?

Just checked all the power cables and repluged them and still crashes when i run furmark to test it

What I usually do at this point is grab a spare drive to see if a fresh install fixes the situation. That was I can at least determine if it's software or hardware. Do you have a drive to try this with?

seems to be a software problem did a fresh install on another drive and after 4-5 hours of furmark and prime95 it didn't crash so looks like im going to do a reinstall of windows

Hey, also check your RAM settings! Make sure you run them at stock settings ;) (for test and potentional solution)
