Doge coin mining

Hey guys, I would like to learn how to mine dogecoin because I think its funny.

 

 

I literally have not been paying attention to coin mining because I haven't felt like it would be worth it but I would like to mine doge just for the shits and gigs.

 

I would just like to be able to mine some doge and I was looking for a simple guide on where to start. Sorry if I'm a complete nub that knows shit all about mining.

You are going to want to start by downloading cgminer 3.7.2 and a dogecoin wallet.

 

To get cgminer 3.7.2, go to http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/ , and get  cgminer-3.7.2.tar.bz2.

 

Then get a dogecoin wallet from http://dogecoin.com/ for your operating system.

I got it working now but unfortunately until I get a new graphics card I can't do shit lol. I'm getting an overwhelming k/hash of 14... This is using CUDAminer and an 8800GT. I plan on either getting a GTX 770 or r9 280x in the next couple of weeks so until then I don't think I'll do any mining.

Well if you want to mine get that 280x

My rig: i5 2500k, MSI Z77A G45, Gainward GTX 980 Phantom, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, OCZ ZT series 750W PSU, 1TB HDD, 800D, fully water cooled.
