Do DAC's work through a Bluetooth dongle?

I am looking to buy an iPod classic. I saw that the 5.5th gen has the best audio but does that even matter if I am going to put a Bluetooth dongle in it? I want Bluetooth ability so I can use my galaxy buds. I do have wired earphones but then my investment in the galaxy buds is worthless. Thanks for the reply!
