I got a new ram kit. its on the QVL list. it wouldn't run at it rated 3600 so I set it down to 3566. I started to get black screens randomly after the system would be on for a while.

so I bumped it down to my motherboards "highest" rated speed of 3466.... mind you I haven't touched the timings at all. not while this is happening.

so im thinking its a memory issue kus it started after I swapped out kits. but I brought the speeds down......

but on the other hand I used a bad overclock a few months ago. going by the voltage thresholds AMD and ASUS were giving. which was "1.425v" for a daily overclock was safe.

it turns out that im not the only one to see chip degradation with voltages over 1.37v after a certain amount of time

here is an article about ryzen safe voltages . each gen has different thresholds and the board companies and AMD aren't making it clear

so im not sure if its my chip degradation or the memory

anyone have similar experience?
