So I've recently purchased an Hp Omen. This is my first pc and i figured pre built with the option to upgrade if necessary would be the easiest way to learn. I want to mainly use the Pc for gaming. It currently has..

Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1650

AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6 core

16g DDR4

Would this be able to play most games like EFT, Rocket League without doing to much upgrading?  Would an SSD be necessary? Any help would be appreciated.

Also i would like to add that my goal is to have a true 1080 experience.  Im definitely not a pro so i dont need a pro gaming rig

ssd just help with load times, things that are already loaded in like games while they run, do little to help. so don;t go running out to get one asap.

1650 is a pretty bad card for the price, over black friday and this holiday I saw a ton of overpriced computers with the 1650. if you spent more than $800 on this computer, I'd label it as a rip off. the rx 580 8gb could be found in prebuilts with the same components for $750, which is $300 cheaper than the most expensive 1650 build.

ram might be slow because prebuilt manufacturers sometimes cheap out, check in task manager to see what mhz your ram runs at.

as for games, they might struggle to run at 1080p high because of the gpu, but that's a per game basis, rocket league being efficient may hit 100+ fps while red dead redemption 2 only net you 40.

True.  I'd check if RAM is at least at 3000MHz, otherwise return the thing as "inadequate" or something.

As for OP,  yes many people think this but especially at lower budgets it's really much better to build your own and with sites like here it's easy to get recommendations for parts that will work well together and aren't a rip off.

This PC will probably be good for now but in a year or so it'll be hopelessly outdated and as such probably not a good investment (sorry)
