Hello all. I am currently running:

MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI (latest BIOs version)

Ryzen 5 3600x

2 x 8 GB Trident Z @ 3200 MHz

RTX 2070 S

I was trying to upgrade to 2 x 16 Trident Z NEO variant @ 3600 MHz CL16-19-19-39 and can't seem to get stable performance from stock/auto settings, no overclocking. I've tried XMP profile and also manually entering CL timings and 1.35V. Is there something I'm missing? I am thoroughly confused especially because Linus' gang does nothing but suggest 3600 MHz ram for the Ryzen 3K series. I've tried two different sets of RAM now and can't seem to pin point the issues. I thought the first set was maybe just a bad set but have realized otherwise. I have found no actual help through my research of the interwebs.

The noticeable things that are happening when I boot into Windows is my audio is crackling horribly. I tried setting the audio quality to the lowest setting possible through Windows and no results. The last thing that happens is my PC going dark and rebooting it self after being in Windows for no more than 10 minutes at a time.

Something is obviously wrong, perhaps in the BIOs, but I set the corresponding CL timings, recommended DRAM voltage, and Infinity Fabric clock rate 1:1. When I revert back to my original ram everything is fine and well. I am not super experienced with anything in BIOs but I understand some of the more basic stuff. The only thing I could possibly think of is my HDD being 7 or 8 years old and having a hard time keeping up?

I really appreciate anyone taking the time to read this and perhaps something is more apparent to someone other than me!

THANK YOU

I am assuming you bought  2 x 16gb?  Or 4 x 8 gb?

What you can try booting with only one stick at a time and see if there is just a bad stick.  Run through your BIOS like you already did, but with only one stick installed.

CPU:   Ryzen 7  5800x      CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i Pro       Motherboard:  Asus x570 TUF Plus      Memory:  64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3600

2 x 16. Should I still try this although I detect 32 GBs working?

Will this be to determine if they are even working properly? I don't understand running at lower speed than advertised. Thank you!!

This is the never ending story of AMD and RAM comparability
