Upgrading ram in a prebuilt system

I currently have 8gb ram installed in my prebuilt system (HP pavilion 580-015na). The 8gb stick is DDR4-2400 and I think it's by Kingston as there is a Kingston logo next to it but there is also an HP logo on the other side. I'm wondering if I could upgrade the ram to 16gb DDR4-2400 by just buying another stick? Would I be running into issues if the ram sticks aren't exactly the same? As in if I bought ram stick from another company with the same specs as the one in my PC. I've included a picture of the stick and linked my PC below. Thanks.

It should be very similar to the one you already have. You may look at a Kingston one that is compatible, no need to have a special HP stick. If it is suitable you'd likely get dual-channel access. Another option is to buy a 2x8gb kit and sell the single one. Or look at common marketplaces for a used one, maybe someone else already did exchange his ram.

This ram is definitely Kingston, other label (HP) it’s just branding of hp stick on ram, most likely for inventory when they getting the stock and building the pc’s.
