so i bought a crucial mx500 1 tb m.2 ssd off of amazon warehouse and when i put it into my new build it started giving me issues. first it wouldn't show up in the bios or in the windows installar, so i reseated it into another m.2 slot, and then it showed up in windows and i went to download windows to it and the installar gave me an error. i haven't been able to get the drive to show up properly since. when it does show up, it showes up as something weird like a 1 gig drive. at first i thought it might have been my motherboard acting up, so i threw the drive into my personal pc and i couldn't get it to show up at all in windows and hd sentenal recognizes it as a unknown drive with like, 36 gigs on it. so i was wondering if anyone can tell me if it would be possible to fix it? and if so, anyone have any ideas how? any help is appreciated

Drive is done. You cannot fix it. Based on what you are saying it is doing, the drive controller has had some kind of failure. Just RMA the sucker and be done with it. That is why warranties exist.

If you had purchased it recently, you can probably return it to where you bought it.
