So last year i build a entry level rig for light gaming mostly csgo and gta v.

Specs:-

Mobi:-Asus PRIME H310M-E

CPU:-I3 8100

GPU:-ZOTAC GTX 1050TI

RAM:-CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 16GB

PSU:-ANTECH 500W

Now the problem is that i am using window 10 from a long time and kind of fed up and wanted to move to windows 7.I know about the security risk and stuff.I researched that the window 7 doesn't support usb 3 drivers and we have to get a patched iso or usb. i have seen people on YouTube installing win 7 on 8th gen cpu perfectly. But i try to install windows 7 via usb it loads till starting windows and then reboots.

Need help and suggestions

With your specs i don't see why you need windows 7.

Any particular reason you don't like win 10?

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

here's your advice: deal with windows 10, and learn how to control it.

windows 10 certainly has its faults, but it's certainly a lot lighter than windows 7, driver support is A LOT better, and given the next year or so you'll notice programs either getting wonky behavior on windows 7, or outright not working anymore. (or like chrome did with windows vista: block any updates from installing).

Oh, and all that tracking stuff? it's backported to windows 7.

here's the quick rundown of how to make windows 10 behave:

- INSTALL YOUR FREAKING UPDATES. (yes, install them. be it every one or two months, windows will take control if it realises you dont.)

- either dont mess with defender (let it do its thing), disable defender outright and live dangerously, or rely on a 3rd party antivirus.

- take your time to dig trough all options, it only takes 30 minutes, and you'll suddenly realise that a lot of those "fed up" issues are things you can adjust or disable.

- if you insist, remove entries regarding windows update from the windows scheduler, this is an involved process that'll take you a good hour to do it right, but this basicly neuters windows update's "surprises".

you'll either spend 3 hours installing an outdated OS on your actually pretty nice system, or you can spend 3 hours getting a modern OS adjusted to your liking.

in short: my advice: dont be "the windows XP guy", and rather spend your time figuring out how to control the modern OS, than spening your time being stuck up with the old ways.

EDIT: PS: welcome to the forum ;)

Options:

1. Install win7 on other computer and boot on new one. Use ps2 mouse to install USB.

2. Use cheap pcie USB expansion card to install win7 and use mouse connected to it for installing drivers for other USB.

3. You may prepare special installer for win 7, one of manufacturers have tool for that (never use so don't remember which one)

4. Stay with win10.
