fun power switch (Ms pac man)

so i have a broken ms pac man game and i stripped it and was wondering if i should solder the power line to the actual switch or a button, i will be soldering the light to the light on ms pac man. I just dont know if the switch will work for this, I could just do the menu button, but that's lame.
