I just upgraded my PC setup about a month back. Appended below is my configuration

CPU - AMD Ryzen 3900

MOBO - X570 Aorus Master

RAM - Corsair Dominator 4 X 8 -  32 GB 3200 MHZ

GPU - Aorus RTX 2080 TI 11 GB OC - Vertically mounted with a Thermaltake Riser Cable

PSU - Corsair 1000 HXI

Monitor - Dell U 3219Q

Audio - Yamaha YTH 3072

So the PC keeps crashing while gaming. i have connected the display and audio through HDMI - One HDMI from the GPU coming to the Monitor and the other from the GPU to the AV Receiver. I could not use Display cable, as the monitor only supports 1.2 and not 1.4 and this does not support HDR. All the drivers are up-to date. I am currently playing games like FIFA 20  and Battlefield IV to begin with HDR on.

At the moment i feel the issue is with the GPU as following are the issues i am currently facing

1. The display blinks in game whenever i try to increase/decrease the volume from the keyboard (this does not happen when HDR is off)

2. The game usually crashes after a match is over especially in FIFA 20

3. i played Battlefield IV this morning and after a mission was completed the game crashed and it isnt starting again, i tried repairing the game with Origin and after verifying it crashes on Finalizing.

4. After the game crashes, mostly the display gets disconnected and i see the message no HDMI connection from your device on the monitor.

5. Games are even crashing when HDR is off.

6. i get BSOD with different errors time and again even when i am not gaming - i checked the Event Viewer and i see Event Id 7034, 7038, 7000 mostly.

7. if the PC boots when the AV receiver off, and i turn it on later, windows does not detect the AV reciever after. I checked the same in NVIDIA Control Panel and in Display settings.

i have done a clean install of windows 3 times already - assuming it could be a driver issue, the issues still persists

Please Help!

When installing the drivers for your devices and system do you just use device manager in Windows 10 and just let Windows auto install them? Or do you download Geforce Experience to get the drivers for the GPU and then get the rest from the manufacturer of your motherboards website?

If you do not manually install the drivers from the correct places and you do just let Windows do it then that could be your problem.

Step 1: Install all necessary drivers from the motherboards support/download page on the manufacturer website. Lan Drivers, Chipset, and Bios(if there is a newer version than what you have it would be a good idea especially with the fixes X570 gets pretty much every month in bios updates.).

Step 2: DDU GPU drivers, then download and install Geforce Experience and use that to get your GPU drivers.

If that doesn't work then try unplugging any unnecessary devices either connected to your GPU, like VR Headsets, Sound Systems/ Audio Equipment, and devices connected via USB(really anything besides the mouse and keyboard). Bad externally connected devices can cause all sorts of issues.

If it is not a software problem, I'd try running memtest86 and MSI Kombustor see if there are any issues with the GPU or the Memory. Also download the program Blue Screen View, it will log your bluescreen files and give you a better idea of what is causing it.
