New build problem - IO stopped working after restart.

Robin_Code

Hi, so my build just finished, except it doesnt show any sign of screen. The odd thing is, I even used windows on it and everything 1 hour ago. Just now when I restarted it, the IO stopped working.

Build:

Asus x570-p

3600x ryzen

550watt corsair MWE gold

16GB DDR4 3200mhz corsair ram

RX590

660P Intel nvme

Also:

The fans spin well. The only thing that stopped working is the IO and graphics card stopped spinning

So have you tried taking the GPU out and putting it back in?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yes but the GPU isnt the issue as it also doesnt work without a GPU

Since the video stopped showing it sounds like a potential graphics issue.

What other troubleshooting have you done?

Well the GPU and the IO stopped. Not just the GPU.  I replaced everything in The mb except for the cpu + cpu cooler

How do you know if the I/O stopped? Are you able to test the mouse signal without having any video?

Without video one can't really judge the status of i/o devices. If you are booting off an ssd one can't really establish if the system is booting.

Depending on your gpu model it may only briefly spin up the fans at power on and thereafter only under load.

Presumably the monitor is connected to a port in the rear of the gpu? (I.E. Not the motherboard.)

Verify that the monitor input port selection is correct.

The motherboard has, as part of the System Panel header, a 4-pin speaker header. For a couple of $ one can get a small speaker that plugs into this connection. With a speaker in place one can hear system generated beeps. Several major problems are reported through beep codes that are described in the user manual.

If you have access to an alternate working gpu you could try installing it in place of the one you suspect is not working.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
