Memory being recognized but not usable

Go to solution Solved by Buildingi3,

Doing some research im dumb for not doing it. Thinking that R5 2600 supports quad channel memory is the most dumbest I've ever been. Thank you for the help guys!

Hi guys, I have this configuration

MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX

Ryzen 5 2600

G. SKILL Ripjaws V 2400 2x4gb

G. SKILL Ripjaws V 2400 2x4gb (Bought from 2016)

My problem is the memory are being recognized but when I look at the BIOS it tells me that 8192MB of the ram installed is usable. I have tried setting the speed to 2133mhz and CL to 17 and still not working. Also did the msconfig thing and page file(btw it crashed my OS in a case that I needed to reinstall my OS), and also my memory have the same model number

Additional Information:

I just upgraded my CPU and Motherboard from i3 6100 MSI B150 PRO-VDH to this configuration. Before I transferred the memory this happened. Also another one I have an image of the BIOS showing that 4 4GB sticks are being recognized. Not OC'ed

Find your iGPU vram settings and lower it to 0mb. There is no point allocating any memory to the iGPU, as it will use up however much it needs regardless of the limit. The bios typically does this kind of crap, but you can change it

Current PC (Second Build) : CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (OC @3.8GHz, sometimes pushed to 4GHz) RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-2666 (OC @2733Mhz, sometimes pushed to 2800 for testing purposes)   GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX570 8gb MOBO: ASRock B450m Pro4 SSD: Inland 120gb HDD: 1tb Seagate Barracuda PSU: Cooler Master Masterwatt 500w Lite Case: NZXT H500 OS: Arch Linux+ KDE Plasma [Desktop Environment] & Windows 10 Pro [Broken due to grub 50% of the time]

Accessories: Mouse: Alienware AW958 Elite Keyboard: Corsair K63 Wireless  Headphones: Samsung Level On Pro

Phone (waiting on arrival): Samsung Galaxy Note 9
