Hi, I recenlty bought a gtx 1660 ti oc windforce as an upgrade to my pc, my power supply is Segotep H9Plus+ 520W and before this gpu I had a gtx 1050 ti, which dosent require any external power, I mean you don't have to connect any cables from the power supply to the gpu. When I was installing my new gpu, I noticed I didn't had an 8 pin cable to connect from the power supply to the gpu, my power supply 6+2 pin port is male type, and the gpu male aswell. What cable do I need to buy? P.S I am from Romania, I can't buy stuff from US or things like that, I am more interested in the type of cable I need, not the link from where to buy it. Does this one work? https://www.emag.ro/cablu-adaptor-pentru-alimentare-pci-e-6-pini-mama-la-2-x-8-pini-6-2-tata-20cm-puls013/pd/DT5YCZBBM/?cmpid=86840&gclid=Cj0KCQiAovfvBRCRARIsADEmbRJkTmy-VYHvpf94n_wI0Z-HDHPpR1wLOS1rRdDtL1zdBzLX3pNP-oAaAgagEALw_wcB

check again, they don't make male PCIe connectors on graphics card. any 6+2 connector you have should be fine to work properly.

don't buy this, it splits a connector designed for 75 watts into two designed for 150

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I dont have any cable whatsoever, the only cable that came along with the pc when i bought it was a sata, I need a cable to connect the gtx 1660 ti to the power supply, it says it requires 8 pin connector

What exactly does this mean then? It sounds like you have a connector.

If you do not have a PCIe power cable at all, the adapter you linked does not work anyway.

The rule of thumb is that if your power supply does not have the right connector for the job it is not adequate. Consider an inexpensive PSU to replace it such as a Corsair CX450, which will have an 8 pin PCIe connector.

I bought my PC prebuild from a popular company in my country, probably they forgot to give me the other cables that came with the psu, since the 1050 ti I had didn't required a 6 pin or 8 pin. My PSU has 6+2 PCI, it is written on it, but I do not have the cable to connect the PSU to the GPU. I might miss on something you're saying, sorry for that cuz this is my first pc and I'm new to this.

Ok that is different, so it has PCIe female ports.

Contact the company who built the PC, they owe you the cables.

No.

That's a splitter that splits a single 6-pin into two 8-pins.. which right there is shady as f***.

Something you say does not make sense (to me).  The cable you show is female to male.  You state the PSU cable connection (please be clear it is the end of cable connection - not the plug at the cpu) is male and the card is male.  That doesn't make sense. Fasauceome is correct.  I would not buy the splutter cable unless you only plan on using it as an adapter for a single 8 pin....but I have a feeling there is something else more important wrong.  Best bet, take pictures of the cable ends you mean. That will make it easier.

Segotep has some good models.  Just not that one.  That one is Segotep's cheapest model.

Otherwise, I don't know what else is available in Romania because you didn't provide us a link to any stores.

Not exactly what I meant.  But I think I understand what you might mean.

JonnyGuru is right - that splitter is dodgy.  But if what you say is true, it won't work anyway.  That is what was confusing.  I think what you mean is you are missing the entire cable that goes from PSU to the GPU's PCIe plug?  If so, those are usually special cables and can be specific to the PSU maker.  EDIT:  If the PSU is designed for it - the cable should have come with it.

CX450 is available at the shop OP was using for the adapter cable.

https://www.emag.ro/sursa-corsair-cx450-450w-80-bronze-cp-9020120/pd/DWNMZ7BBM/

Though I'm not sure why the product information listed on that website shows it working with Corsair Link (iCue). The CX450 definitely does not support digital monitoring :D

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Well, the OP provided a link.  https://www.emag.ro/search/PSU?ref=effective_search

There are more choices than I thought.

Yeah - I caught that link - not sure why I didn't check there first.  Thanks.  It was a total "oh duh" moment on my part.
