Im trying to decide to get a RX 5700 XT or a RTX 2070 Super. But I keep reding in comments and user reviews about how horrible the drivers are for the RX 5700 series such as games crashing and BSOD's. Did AMD get most of the problems fixed as of today Dec 2019? I want to get my friend either a 5700xt or 2070s for christmas.

I haven't had a BSOD or game/system crash due to drivers or GPU hardware for the past 6 driver versions... The trick is setting a decent fan curve, not underpowering the card, and not attributing to the drivers the issues that are caused solely by poorly optimized games.
