NBN Arris and connecting to aftermarket Modem / Router

LeadFlames

Hi recently got NBN connected and works with the Modem provided by TPG (tp-link archer vr1600v) but cant connect to my ASUS DSL-AC55U.

On the first day the Arris box didn't connect to anything and on the second day it connected to the tp-link by having it plugged in for the whole day.

So do i wait for the ASUS to connect in the dame way or do something else?

Thanks for your time and Help - Lead

Sounds like a problem with the ISP modem but it could also be as simple as a cable issue. How did you connect the modem to the ASUS? Ethernet?

I used the same cable with both modems

Strange. It should be recognized and connect the moment you plug it in. If the unit didn't recognize the ISP provided router for 24hrs I would ask to have the equipment replaced. It should not do that.
