Finally upgraded

Shisimona

Today I finally upgraded my 24" 1080p monitor to this monstrosity 34" ultrawide 1440p monitor. I only got it as it the store had it on sale for $600 CDN. Last one in stock. I wasn't gonna say no to that.

Gonna need some video card to drive it. I’ve had a 30” since 2012 and I can’t go back.  24” just seems miniature now.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Congrats, I hope your system is up to the task of driving your new purchase.

My system is pretty well good.

Ryzen 5 2600x @ 4GHZ
16GB G.Skill DDR4 3200MHz
EVGA XC Black Edition RTX 2070.

But my issue is, Displayport will not work at all. I tried all 3 ports on the video card and still nothing. I'm using the Displayport cable that with the monitor.

Heh.  That’ll do it alright.
