Compatibility

I currently have gtx1050 and i want to updrade to 1660 ti but i am not sure if my motherboard will work with it without any problems

My motherboard is asus m5a97 r2.0 

my processor is fx 8370

motherboards need to be compativle with cpus. there are no compatibility concerns with gpus, so go ahead and upgrade.

although, the 1660 super is usually cheaper and offers the same performance, and your cpu will limit the fps you'll get in games regardless of how great a gpu you buy.

also, more important for upgrading your gpu is what PSU do you have?

i was worried that i am going to need to do a bios update or something
