Linux on a MacBook Air?

Hi guys!

I just want to experiment with Linux and i have a 2011 MacBook Air for school and i thought that i would be fun to install it on there so i can boot in to Mac OS X and Linux. Is this possible?

Thanks!

It may be possible but I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to seriously screw up the school computer.

Would they know? Question it? Or would they just send it off to apple care?

It is not a school computer, it was purchased by myself so i could take notes on my laptop because i couldn't read my handwritten notes back

Seriously doubt any school 'tech help' knows anything. Mine sits on Facebook 'chatting' with his 'wife' all day. They'd probably shrug their shoulders and send it to wherever the computers go for summer

The school system administrator asks me questions about stuff he doesn't understand in the tech field! :D
