new PC wont boot up

Big-Boy

every time i turn on the PC all the lights flash even the small 4 motherboard LED's on the top right corner, and all the the fan spin at max RPM but no signal on the screen, someone told me that it might need a bios update because the motherboard doesn't support 3rd get ryzen, but i am pretty sure that it supports 3rd gen ryzen, what could be the problem?

If it's -MAX SKU then it does support Zen 2 out-of-the-box.

All of them at once ? That's weird.

Did you try to turn it on without CPU \ GPU \ both\one RAM stick ?

Also, check and reseat all power cables.

Your board probably does support third gen ryzen, but will need a bios update in order to work.

It wont be a hard task to check the bios update.

Try also plugging one stick of RAM in slot 1-3.

By the way, why did you get this 1080, when with the same money you can get a 2070S, even a 2080.....???

The only solution is to put an older CPU on it.

Go to a shop, it wont cost much.

I think your motherboard can update bios without a CPU, have a USB stick with the bios on it in the specified port, then press the flash bios button on the rear I/O

Not a BIOS issue this board has native zen 2 support also supports BIOS flashback so this can be done by the user to get on the latest bios update.

Also try just clearing CMOS settings with a jumper \ detaching battery for some time.

Your issue lies somewhere other then the bios but maybe giving it a update might help, doubtful but stranger things have happened. My guess is you have a RAM issue.
