At this point I don't know what to do. I've tried almost everything, but the issue still persists. The problem is that I built a new computer, something I've done numerous times before, and everything seems perfectly fine except for one issue: my mouse keeps freezing or lagging. It's not at all consistent, it just does it at seemingly random times while under load. I call it "freezing" because when I'm using my Logitech mouse it will stop in the middle of moving it to click on whatever (again, randomly), but I suppose it's more of a lag? It seems like it's disconnecting from my computer, but there is no notifying sound when this happens. When using my Zowie mouse it tracks the movement and stutters along the way, as if the censor went out for a half a second. There have been times when my Logitech mouse straight-up stopped moving altogether, accompanied by the disconnection sound, but the light on the mouse remained on. I presume this is a part of the same issue that I am having, but this seems to happen a lot less compared to the aforementioned "minor disconnects."

My build is as follows (names are directly from Amazon, with exception of graphics card):

  • ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming LGA1151 (Intel 8th and 9th Gen) Mini ITX (MITX) DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 Motherboard
  • Intel Core i5-9600K Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6 GHz Turbo Unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W
  • G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) F4-2666C15D-32GVR
  • Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (MZ-V7E500BW)
  • CORSAIR SF Series, SF600, 600 Watt, Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Gold Certified
  • 2 of Noctua NF-A12x15 FLX, Premium Quiet Slim Fan, 3-Pin (120x15mm, Brown)
  • Fractal Design Node 202 - Compact Mini Tower Computer Case – Small Form Factor - Mini ITX – Mitx - High Airflow - 2X 120mm Silent Fans Included - USB 3.0 - Black
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (dxdiag)

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

Things I have already tried that I can remember off the top of my head:

  • Replacing mouse
  • Using different USB slots, including the front (so it's definitely not just a USB problem)
  • Uninstalling both mouse, USB root hub, and "Intel(R) USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 (Microsoft)" drivers and restarting
  • Updating Windows to newest version
  • Reinstalling Windows
  • Changing the RAM setting in my bios to either 2133MHz or 2666MHz, and setting BIOS to use XMP 2 with the corresponding correct setting for RAM (2666MHz 15-15-15-35-1.2V)
  • Setting BIOS to use Auto feature for it
  • Uninstalling my wireless driver
  • Uninstalling my bluetooth driver
  • Updating and reinstalling graphics card driver
  • Disabling and uninstalling audio driver
  • Using XHCI native to MOBO instead of Windows
  • Reseating RAM and using one stick at a time to see if that had anything to do with it.
  • Changing power settings to maximum performance and disabling usb selective suspend

I'm 99% sure there are like 100 other things I have tried, but I can't remember  them specifically. I have tried just about everything involving software, and only the things listed involving hardware. I desperately need some help fixing this issue.

Wired or wireless mouse? What mice did you try? Any drivers/customization apps you installed for it/them?

Updated the original post with that information, but to further clarify:

I am using a Logitech G203 Prodigy mouse with Logitech GHUB software.

I have tried with a Zowie mouse, which does not have any software.

Both are wired. Both have been tried with a fresh reinstall (with harddrive format).

I am currently also using a Bluetooth headset for audio, if that has any relevance.

Nothing but my keyboard and mouse are plugged into USB. Keyboard is a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro and does not have this freezing issue.

Didn't you read that he tried several different mice from different brands?
