Hi all,

First of all, here is the build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/73RdHB

I already own the Graphics card, the processor and the monitor. I have a keyboard, mouse and headset as well.

The goal of this build: So this build is for Old School Runescape at max settings. Just kidding! lol I am a PhD/DPT graduate student. I do not have that much time during the week or weekend to play games. The reasoning for such an obnoxious build is that since I do not have much time, I really want that ~ 1 hour per weekday or 2-3 hours on the weekend to really count and to be immersive and fun (video games are my stress relief)! I love open world games and RPGs. Huge fan of Elder scrolls. I want to get into The Outer Worlds, FaryCry and the new Star Wars game (Fallen Order) possibly. I am not super rich and I cannot just blow money. So.... The monitor was a Christmas/birthday gift from the Fam. I saved up for the video card and I got the CPU from a MicroCenter in Atlanta.

I am first-time PC builder. I am building a PC to support the monitor (see link up top to the build) that I purchased on black Friday (it was too good to pass up for $400!). I am getting nervous that my build will have issues. I have been saving up for a little over 8 months now. I have been researching and reading as much I can. I even posted on u/buildapcforme but I didn't get a great response (the answers I was provided came with no explanation and the storage that I was recommended was not available.... so it was hard for me to trust their opinions). I have attempted to build my own PC. I watch a lot of Paul's Hardware and Linus Tech Tips and have been reading this forum a lot. I have learned that there is so much conflicting evidence with literally everything about building a PC that this experience has been nerve wracking and painful lol Oh and one other note, I read that overkilling with the PSU is alright and allows for upgrading down the road. I am aware that the PSU is overkill for this build.

Two major questions:

Question 1) Is this build compatible/good for what I have explained? On PC Part Picker I get this message " The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." What does this mean?

Question 2) Am I picking the right storage and MOBO for this build? The other storage I am considering is this.

EDIT: I am in U.S.

TL:DR: Any help/advice on my build regarding the two questions at the end would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely, Thank you. Your first time PC builder!!

Looks good apart from the power supply. Go for this one instead

Don't worry about the warnings

Thanks for the response! Any particular reason for the different PSU (I like to learn about this stuff)?

Okay. I was worried about the storage warning message but I read good reviews for the storage and it is a good deal amazon!

A rosewill psu is fine but it's a budget psu. I bought a corsair cx650m, and in hindsight, who cares.  I'm running an x58 off a solid gear brand sdgr "650watt" that rosewill is technically overkill too.  Would probably last you many years in the real world. Looks like the build would run fast.

So you recommend the Fractal case instead?

Okay - thank you for your help! I ended up getting the corsair PSU. I see it is a better trusted name! And that is what I was getting at with this build. I attempted to buy trusted brand names.

Yeah, that fractal case is overall amuch better case. Good airflow, sexy design, tinted tempered glass.

Cooler master mwe, corsair rmx, bit Fenix formula gold, whisper m get one of these, ND you should be fine.
