Hi, I am currently trying to build a gaming pc,I have no idea about cpus and would like a little help. Im trying to play sims3/4 in medium to high setting. I dont want to spend more then 150 for mother board and cpu if possible. I know I will need advice on other parts but for now just cpu and motherboard is my main focus.

My apologies,150usd for both together. I have been looking into parts: for case, cooler master elite, ram: kingston 4gb 240 pin 8gigs,graphics card I chose the radeon hd 7750, or geforce gt 630. My budget is 500usd but flexible

Don't get a GT 630, get the 7750 for sure.

Spoiler

Is a copy of Windows or any peripherals needed?

Windows is needed. Didnt factor that into budget. I have monitor, hdd, and dvd drive. Does it matter that it has an ide cord?

It matters that it's ide. You need an adapter or a new drive in that case. Considering the cost, you're better off with a new drive.
Will Windows be needed to be included in the budget?
