Xeon E5-1660 v3 on Gigabyte GA-X99-Gaming 5

Did anyone tried E5-1660 v3 on that motherboard?

Support list mentions only E-1630 v3 & E-1680 v3 & E5-1660 v4 as well.

I sent support ticket to Gigabyte but they told me, that they don't have that specific CPU right now and cannot confirm.

Anyone?

Hello @Adam1394 and Welcome to the Linus Tech Tips Forum.

 

It does work, the only thing you might need to do is a BIOS Update in order for the CPU to be recognized.
