Hey,

so since last week, my pc shuts down randomly like we unplugged the powercord and reboots itself. I have this pc since June and no problem until last week. It crashed one time last week but after no more. Its monday that its started crashing more often. Also Civilization 6, which I ran without the silent mode off(I have a switch on the computer) was working well and then one time is crashed  I played it again and everything was working well until another crash  on Monday.

I tested Jurassic word evolution and after 5 minutes it crash. BUT  I played this game like all the summer at max preset ! I dont know what the problem is and I hope it's not the power supply. I was going anyway to buy a be quiet CPU cooler but if it's the powersuply I'll buy another instead. My cpu is a i7 8700, ram g-skill aegis 16gb 3000, rtx 2060 and my power supply is a  Gamdias astrape M1 550 watts 80 plus. But like i said, I ran many triple a games in summer and has no problems. But now my pc randomly shuts down. Please help me fix it. All the fans are spinning and I really dont understand  why my pc is crashing.

Hey,

so since like 2 days, my pc shuts down randomly like we unplugged the powercord and reboots itself. I have this pc since June and no problem until Tuesday. I updated my motherboard, some others drivers and added the xmp profile that was already configure on my pc (it's a prebuilt one) The ram is only at 2666MHz and the same voltage so I dont suspect that for the crashing issue. I suppose it's the CPU going to hot. Like in far cry 5 ultra 1080p it will run but like 10-20 minutes and then shuts down. My core temps  are about 40 ⁰C idle and go up to 90 on far cry 5.

My cpu is a i7 8700, ram g-skill aegis 16gb 3000, rtx 2060 and my power supply is a rose will x watts because it was part of the case so I cant see the power of it. But like i said, I ran many triple a games in summer and has no problems. But now my cores are jumping sometimes to 70 degrees at idle and my pc randomly shuts down. Please help me fix it. All the fans are spinning and I really dont understand why my cpu temperatures goes so high and why my pc is crashing.

the cpu cooler is a cooler master with a 120mm fan I suppose and right now I set it to full speed

Wait..  Then it's rebooting.  Not shutting down.

Why are you saying it's shutting down and not saying it's rebooting?  Does it stay off for a while and then suddenly comes back up again?  If not, then that's a reboot.

The problem isn't necessarily the PSU, but it's not heat either as the PSU would actually shut off (and not reboot) if it was heat related.

I will say that the Gamdias Assrape is one of the worst PSUs on the retail market.  So it's not going to hurt you to throw that into your fireplace this Xmas season to keep you warm and buy something that isn't a potential fire hazard.
