Black screen during gameplay

Hello. First time posting.

I have an issue where my monitor produces a black screen for about 3 seconds during gameplay and then will come back. It appears to happen during scenes that are more heavy graphically. I've had this issue before but it seems to happen much more while playing Star Wars Battlefront 2. I ran 1440 max settings at 120hz and it seemed fine for a while but there were eventually issues. Change settings to DX12 and dropped to 60hz Vsync enabled and that appeared not cause issue for a while. However it started again during more 'heavy' graphical content.

The entire time I kept the monitor at 120hz. 

 

Am I configuring something wrong?

 

Computer specs:

ROG PG278QR (G-sync capable)

Ryzen 3600

1080 ti Founders

MPG x570 gaming edge

960 Evo

try changing the monitor to 165hz, that is the max refresh rate that the monitor has i believe, also you can try turning the resolution down. But if neither of those work maybe contact ROG support

I'm having a similar problem.

Did you try running Unigine valley ? The black screens should be visible there aswell

I haven't tried that benchmark before. I'll give those two suggestions a try.

Ran fine on the benchmark. The min FPS seemed to be when it starts a new scene. Any suggested benchmark for DX12?
