Ram for ryzen 1500x

I purchased a msi b350 pro carbbon motherboard and a ryzen 5 1500x on eBay. What are the recommended ram frequencies for this set up

It's gonna be hard to get past 3k.

I'm on a Ryzen 1600 and I'm stuck on 2933mhz on my RAM which is 3200mhz capable. Anything beyond that, I'd get a crash or a BSOD.

if i buy a kit marketed as 3600 will it work and just run at a lower speed?

It will, but you have to change settings in the bios otherwise you might get crashes if you go too high. 1st Gen Ryzen is very picky in memory settings.

im interest in upgrading the cpu in the future. im able to buy pretty much an ram at the moment and would like to get the higher tier now if i can, im just a bit confused on the compatibility
