I see white case, that's how the white CPU cooler got in.

 

Changed board for integrated WiFi

Changed memory kit to cut cost, 3000MHz and 3200MHz are too close for performance to show any difference

Better value SSD

Better cooled RX 5700

Is the CPU cooler necessary? From other threads I have heard that the standard AMD included cooler works fine (yes/no?).

stock cooler lets the CPU go past 80C pretty easily, not that loud but at that point Zen 2 CPUs start dropping boost more and more.

Is there a wifi board that you would recommend? I had considered the x570 asus tuf board with wifi, but then was recommended to the board with wifi card instead.

so you can either go with tomahawk max + separate wifi card (cheaper option) or with something like an msi x570 gaming pro carbon wifi or gigabyte x570 aorus elite wifi

Why those boards? From the review that I have read the Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus Wi-Fi has the same performance and better IO than the gigabyte and is cheaper than the msi option you mentioned.

Go for any tier C and above that has all the ports and features that you like and you'll be fine.

I can't say it will be 100% problem free, but the board could well ship with an up to date bios anyway depending on how recent it is.

 

If you want plug and play then stick with the Tomahawk and an adapter.

Also I just noticed now, but does the case not come with fans? on the corsair website shows the case including fans.

It only comes with 2, the bare minimum to not bottom in thermal charts from reviewers.
