CPU usage high after GPU upgrade

Hey I just upgrade my gpu and it cuased most of my games to get higer cpu usage. Some game was around 50% usage now they are like 70% and Rainbow Six seige is at 100% usage. was around 70%. MY cpu is OC to 5ghz. This was my PC before the upgrade. The old cpu usage is what i can remeber they where on those may vary.

Temps on the CPU in games after the upgrade is 40-60 celsius depends on the game, befor it was the same. Gpu temp is around 40-65 celsius after the upgrade and before

Is your FPS also higher? It's not weird that your CPU usage gets higher with a new GPU, as a matter of fact you would totally expect the usage of your CPU to get higher with higher framerates, that's why you need a good CPU for gaming on high FPS.

 

I'm not an expert but I think the thing is that your CPU hands information to the GPU which the GPU uses to render a frame, if you are rendering more frames the CPU needs to collect more information and feed it to the GPU => higher CPU usage.

Yes i got like 2x the fps so its normal for it to reach 100% in some game. I know its not a bottleneck

The nvidia drivers was corrupt, that was my problem. Reinstalled the drivers cpu usage at around 70%
