What happened with quantum computing? It went from being a unicorn with rigorous testing that net unreliable results to now being offered by Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. There's even a Q# programming language for it. Wasn't the world suppose to end and all passwords be useless as soon as quantum computers came online?

Just keeping this here as a Iirc the password thing could still happen.  The issue is that quantum computers need to get a lot bigger first.  64 bit passwords can’t even be done yet.  They need a quantum computer with over 64 bits and they’re still in the mid 50s

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
