Without getting new hardware your best bet is going to be overclocking. Otherwise you could try and get a used gpu, you can get gtx 970 or 980 for decent prices used, that would be your best bet without breaking the bank

Your best option will probably be to upgrade the video card.

Look into a RX 590 or something faster, depending on your budget.

If you want cheap, probably a used RX 570 would still be a noticeable improvement and would cost less than 100$

Next would be cpu, but you'd have to replace motherboard and ram as well in that case.

It would be about 250$ ... ~ 120$ for a Ryzen 2600 , 70$+ for a motherboard, ~ 60-80$ for 16 GB of memory

I forgot to mention the ps:  XFX - 750W, 80 Plus Bronze Single +12V Rail

As i have built this pc myself, i fel confident that i can overclock it, but have never attempted this, I guess I will need to do some reading.   What about adding a 2nd graphics card?  the mb can handle it and the ps should be able also.

thanks again

You'd be better off getting a newer card rather than running two older ones. Newer titles don't really support dual cards anymore, at least not naively. If you don't have a budget to work with at the moment be sure to do the following:

  • Update your motherboards BIOS
  • Update your drivers (refer to the link above)
  • Uninstall your display drivers using DDU and install the newest revision
  • Update Windows and avoid running anything in the background while in game
  • Overclock your CPU and GPU (it will take some time and research on your end but it will help, you will need a better CPU cooler)
  • Keep the game on low detail, better to keep the frame rate up and the game playable
  • Hope this helps, GL ?

Or you could turn down settings...
