intel 660p 2tb is roughly the same price compared to the samsung 970 evo 1tb

(~35$ difference)

Depends on what you need

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Better speeds: 970

Is the speed difference noticeable in real life applications of a standard user: probably not

-> get the 660p unless you transfer 250GB Folders on a daily basis
