Hi everyone ! I bought a new PC about 1 month ago and i have been playing on it a lot. Everything is perfect except for 1 problem. I keep getting the same error code. It can happen in th Triple A game or in the easiest one like League of legends. The code is "0x887a0006 dxgi_error_device_hung". I was wondering what could be the problem. It happened in LoL, Apex legends and Shadow of the tomb raider (in LoL and Tomb raider it mostly happens when loading)

I tried a couple of things like repairing, fresh install, driver update, run as admin, downgrade graphics settings, run borderless ... nothing will help. It will happen from time to time, (its not EVERY time but still enough to annoy me.) I did not overclock my CPU or GPU (Its OCed by the company default) and i monitor my temps a lot to be sure everything is fine (CPU never goes above 60 and GPU 77 at max)

PC :

GPU = Aorus Xtreme windforce 2080Ti

CPU = I9-9900k

RAM = 32GB corsair 3200MHZ

Driver = Western digital 1TB M.2 Nvme

Mobo = Z390 Aorus pro

OS = Windows 10 (on the latest update)

if anyone has an idea please help because crashing on League with a 2080 TI is not funny at all .. ?

thanks !!

Are you running these games in DX12?

Lots of systems have issues with DX12 implementation so if you do switch to DX11.

Also ROTTR has several beta builds available for exactly this reason (newest version doesn't even work with DX11 on some systems - or rather,  much worse)

Personally I have [811.3] installed and zero issues with R3600/GTX1060

This could be the issue,It's a Direct X error after all.

From what i remember, Apex Legends run with DX11 and u cant use DX12 and shadow of the tomb raider run with DX12. But i play BFV too and havent had a crash using DX12.

League of legends uses Old DX9 if i remember.

Something i forgot to say, when using my old RX580 instead of my 2080TI (everything else loke ram, cpu, driver, is the same) i wouldnt crash ... and i had to wait like 3 weeks before my card shipped so ive played with an rx580 for 3 weeks with 0 crash and now i crash with a 2080ti ... ???

EDIT : Using DX11 did not help at all, im starting to worry that it could be my hardware ? Is it possible for a GPU to have problem with DirectX ? And i so, how do i explain that to Aorus lol. And do you guys think a fresh install of windows could help ??

Paying 1600$ for a card and not being able to play Even league is sad ...
