I'm trying to build a PC just for one game - shitty optimized unity engine one called Rust.

Currently I have two choices:

i9 9900kf + Aorus Pro

Ryzen 3700x + MSI Tomahawk.

I don't really consider i7 9700k because I want processor last at least a bit longer and in all discussion I've been reading people says that 9700k is a dead end because 8 cores in the future can end up having same effect as 2500k  vs 2600k which lasted a bit more due having HT. Since new consoles are going to use 16 threads being stuck on 8 cores isn't nice.

Another thing that bothers me is that intel is affected by multiple vulnerabilities and these patches DO impact performance. I used special software to disable mitigantions and I had 15-20 fps boost in Rust on i7 4770k.

I have money for both builds but I just want the one that would make the more sense since games is the only things I do and I'm really scared of losing performance on Intel. I also don't want face situation being stuck on AMD CPU when new games are going to be again intel optimized.

The graphic card I'm going with is 2060 or 2060 super because Rust's graphic is pretty simple and all that matters is CPU / Memory.
