RAM trubble

Hi all!

 

I got some hardware issues (and maby language issues as well, I’m from Sweden but plz bare with me)

 

So, my hardware is:

Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-Z97p-D3

CPU: i5-4690K @ 3.50 GHz

RAM: Corsair Vengance LP kit 16Gb (2 sticks @ 8GB each)

 

OS: Windows 10 Pro x64

 

PROBLEM: 

Windows will only show 8GB RAM, but ALL RAM slots work! (Tested eachs module in eachs RAM slot) and on it’s own the work, but why don’t it add up?

 

I have tried other RAM modules ( ADATA XPG) with the same effekt, only shows 8GB of RAM when 16GB is installed.

 

any suggestions on a solve on this?

If you go into Task Manager -> Performance -> Memory how many slots does it say are occupied? How much is in System Reserved?

So 1 at a time, no matter which slot the ram is in, it will detect both sticks.  The stick isn't bad, just one of the slots if they are both occupied?

Is that right?
