  • Hyper 212 is no longer the king of cooling. I'd recommend looking into alternatives
  • 750W is overkill for that system. 550W should do you fine

Find a better cooler than the Hyper 212 and save yourself some money on the PSU by getting a lower wattage and you'll be closer to $1000, you could even swap out the CPU for a 3600X if you're fine with the stock cooler

Desktop Build: Ryzen 7 2700X @ 4.0GHz, AsRock Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming, 48GB Corsair DDR4 @ 3000MHz, RX5700 XT 8GB Sapphire Nitro+, Benq XL2730 1440p 144Hz FS

42U Server Rack: ISP Modem + UDM-SE + APC 3kVA UPS + 3x Dell Precision 5820 + TBD

Retro Build: Intel Pentium III @ 500 MHz, Dell Optiplex G1 Full AT Tower, 768MB SDRAM @ 133MHz, Integrated Graphics, Generic 1024x768 60Hz Monitor

What air cooler would you suggest?

so besides the computer, is there any actual part upgrades that you'd suggest? like cpu mobo ram gpu

If you're fine with the stock cooler, feel free to go with the 3600x. Otherwise everything looks fine. I'm not one for RGB so I personally would have used the $60 from those for more or faster RAM. Otherwise looks like a well balanced rig.

What monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Spending far too much on fans

If you're going for ITX I'd get a smaller case though, otherwise Micro ATX makes more sense to me.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

You can always get RGB fans from aliexpress for $5-6 or from ebay for a bit more, the name brand RGB fans are kind of a scam.

The RX 5700 is a better value GPU IMO, It's pretty close to the 2070/super with an overclock, blower cards are only $299 and are fine for ITX, can improve them a bit as well.

You can also always buy RGB fan heatsinks later, but focus on getting fast memory first.

As in you haven't bought those peripherals yet? as I'd go with a different mouse at least, maybe a different headset. didn't like the microphone on the wireless HS60

Also you're going to need a way to update the bios for the 3000 series most likely. None of the ITX boards have USB bios flashing, at least none of the cheap ones anyways.

Also going to want to pick up a 240mm AIO eventually assuming it fits in that case, but I would probably use that money to upgrade to the 3700X and just use the stock cooler.

Is the triple fan GPU going to fit in that case? That's why I went for a blower or dual fan card.

That RAM is only 3600mhz CL18, so it's really not any faster than 3200mhz CL16.

The one I had above was 3600mhz CL16.

yeah the triple fan gpu will fit in the case it will have 2.5 inches between the end and the front panel, and there will be enough fir the aio

and so if i switch the ram to somethig 3600mhz CL16 everthing will be good?

Pretty much just want the fastest RAM for a reasonable price, Ryzen 3000 should be able to do 3600mhz out of the box.
