So I was gaming and My PC randomly powers down. After restarting I didn't get any video output via my GPU.

Furthermore it isn't being recognized in the BIOS.

The weird thing is that it does have power (RGB is on / No Fan spin) and I checked whether it just became loose in the PCI-E slot - it didn't

(No windows update in the last 10 days, GPU is a Radeon Sapphire Rx 470 4Gb, I5 6500, running Win10)

Edit: The system does boot and I have video using the integrated GPU of my CPU

Sounds like it's fried. Got a low-end spare you can put in to test with?

Like I said, it isn't being recognized in the bios, it claims the slot I'm using is empty

You pulled the GFX card 1st, yes?

Would you mind explaining what you mean with GFX - did a quick Google search and didn't find an appropriate answer

GFX - Graphics Card

Yes I did

Ok, if you pulled the graphics card from the PCIe slot, then the system should revert to the onboard video. When you power it (the computer) up, you get no signal, or you get no power?

System is working fine without the GPU, as it turns out it probably is a fault that can happen to my specific GPU (Sapphire Nitro RX 470). It's a transistor that is known to fail after a year or more of use.

Probably nothing I can do here
