AMD StoreMI does it really works ?

I got a 256 gb ssd and 1tb hdd. I saw the explanation as well from amd. However i'm still in doubt about this. 

 

It looks what things i use the most and pass them to the ssd. I wonder if this passing is like installing them to the ssd. Because if i take for example red dead redemption 2 which is almost 200gb. My ssd will commit seppuku.

StoreMi has a limit of 128GB for the SSD, if you wish to use a bigger drive you gotta buy the 'Pro' version.

It's actually 256GB max fast tier for StoreMI. You can still use an SSD bigger than that, but the extra becomes a second virtual disk (unless you buy FuzeDrive).

 

Simplified explanation: It combines your SSD and HDD into one virtual device. When you install, e.g., RDR2, it will likely be installed to the HDD (because that's the vast majority of your tier). When you play the game, it will load from the HDD and at the same time move those parts of the game you just accessesed to the SSD. The second time you play the game, you'll get SSD load times.
