So about a year ago I bought a Lenovo Ideacentre 700 25ish tower. Just a few months ago it started to just shut off randomly. Then as time went on it started doing it more recently. Now it’s at the point where it won’t turn on at all. I just got it looked at by my Video 1 class teacher who is big on PCs and he built his own, so he know some stuff about them. When he looked at it yesterday it was powering just fine. It was working fine until just now I tried to turn it on and it shut off again after booting up. When he looked at it, the internals of the PC were just fine. I’m not sure what to do and what could be the problem at this point. If anyone can help that would be great. Thank you

It could be your power supply.  Mine shut the computer down a few times before it died (Cooler Master MasterWatt 500).  A lot of prebuilts have fairly low quality power supplies installed in them.  A new one of better quality should not set you back too bad.  This link will help you select a good quality replacement.

When you say it shut down, you mean it literally powers down completely?

Is the PSU fan spinning?  Could be over temperature protection.  Could have worked for your teacher without shutting down because he was testing it in a colder room than what you are using.
