Hello!

FINALLY, next month I'll have everything ready to start my cable sleeving, it's going to be black and yellow themed, since I love these colors, and simply because a lot of parts in my PC have this color scheme.

But as of now, I have a question for you guys to answer for me: I have this cable (look below)

post-9910-0-42127600-1391819805_thumb.jp

... and my question is, what kind of connector is it on the end of this sata power cable ? PCI-E or AUX ?

Which one should I buy out of these two ?

AUX: http://lutro0-customs.com/products/10-pin-female-connector

PCI-E: http://lutro0-customs.com/products/6-pin-female-pci-e-connector

Thanks in advance, and sorry if you're facepalming while reading this and saying "what a noob", I know, but I always prefer being 100% sure of what I'm buying and thanks to you guys, I'll be set.

What power supply is this from?

It could possibly be a propitiatory connector which cannot be purchased.

I know my AX1200i has proprietary connectors.

From the picture you posted and comparing the two connectors from Lutro Customs. It isn't the PCI connector though it could be a AUX.

As the second pin in the top row is similar just looking at it.

@AndyCapets Looks like PCI-E power like for a graphics card, but I believe it's the modular connector for the PSU.

De-pin it and use it.

No it's a Lepa, so every connector fit's on it. I'll probably get the AUX one.

De-pin it and use it.

Thing is, that it's made out of poor quality plastic and I already broke one of these connectors on the second sata cable and had to send it for it to be replaced and also, I bought a set of wires and pins to make custom cables myself to not ruin the original cables and so I need one of these connectors.

And yes, it looks exactly like a PCI-E one, but I don't think that the connector is the same on these.

Ok guys I answered my question myself quite easily actually, just by looking at the connector, the sata power cable that I have needs an AUX connector to work because when you look at it...

... an AUX connector goes like this: rounded, squared, squared

                                                        squared, rounded, rounded

And a PCI-E goes like this: rounded, rounded, squared

                                           squared, rounded, rounded

So yeah, I need to buy an AUX connextor, thanks anyways guys!
