So currently I'm rocking the Stock Cooler from AMD's 2400g APU and it's honestly good for my current needs, but my goal is to upgrade every stock part to something slightly better...

So my question is which Cooler is best?

The NH-L9i is tiny, it's only "better" if you need to move your PC to a space that's too small to fit the stock cooler. The 212 black is better, along the same lines as the Wraith prism, but the prism is way more attractive honestly and you can get em off eBay for good prices.

AMD also sells the wraith max, which is basically the same thing with less RGB, by itself for around the same price.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I actually just got the Noctua NH-L9i Chromax and with an amd socket I would strongly not recommend. It requires a sold separately mounting kit which is about $8, no big deal, but swapping the mounting is ridiculous. The screws you need to remove are philips and are far to weak, they almost immediately get ruined. I got three out very carefully but the first was ruined and I had to take a dremel to it to remove it. Upon further reading amazon reviews I found that others had this issue with AM4. They make one specifically for AM4 but not in black, that should be fine. I will say it does not have a ton of cooling capacity its really meant for small form factor builds. I use it on a 1700X and it will hit around 80ish degrees while stress testing which is perfectly fine, but if you are not limited by space I would get something with more cooling capacity and better AM4 support

Overall... Sound and performance... I can't overclock for some reason, my MOBO doesn't support it so i'll just be on stock speeds.

What motherboard are you using and how are you trying to oc?

What are your temps and how much quieter of a cooler do you need?

b450m ds3h , running a Ryzen 2400g... Tried overclocking through the bios itself and i cannot even try because it's grayed out

I don't really need SUPER quiet, I just don't want the current ones I have. They make a weird sound that I cannot describe, it's not typical fan noise but something else...

Please be specific. What's grayed out?

Are you sure the noise is from the cpu cooler? Does lowering the fan speed or stopping the fan stop the noise?

Take a look @ the picture I posted, It's not my motherboard I just googled it... Those boxes that drop down are what I'm talking about, I went to the portion where it's CPU overclock and Ram overclock, those are grayed out... Even the manual overclocks where you have to type in manually are not usable... I tried lowering the speed of my fan but the weird noise I'm talking about just gets quieter.

What options are available under Ai Overclock Tuner?

If lowering the fan speed lowers the noise, the issue is probably the fan.
