Buying a gaming laptop

I'm planning to buy a gaming laptop in a couple of months of time. But I need some help from you guys. I want to buy an RTX 2080 laptop. But I also think buying such a laptop right now could be a waste of money considering Ampere and RDNA2 GPUs are arriving next year. Maybe we could see RDNA2 laptops in a few months? What do you think?

if you're always waiting for the next generation of something to release, you will never buy anything.

 

if you need a laptop, buy it when you need it, if you CAN wait, that's up to you as to how long you want to wait.

Don't buy anything until you need it. Waiting for new tech is ill-advised.
