Budget VR Headset? Does it exist?

Hello guys, i'm interested in VR headset for Boneworks and upcoming Half Life: Alyx, but seems like the headsets goes for fairly high price..

So is there any atleast half decent headset that has dual controllers and is under $200?

Best you'll get on a "budget" is the new Oculus, you can also search for used headsets but overall VR is a premium experience and is priced thusly.

Brand new costs still alot around $420, but i've found used ones for around $230~, so probs thats the best option.

The Samsung Odyssey WMR headset usually goes on sale for around $299 USD but do to the 2 cameras inside out tracking the controllers tend to drift or lose tracking easily if they are outside the cameras view.

 

The Rift S has more cameras so the tracking volume is better but it's a problem with any camera based tracking headset currently.

 

They are usable as long you understand you have to keep your hands in front of you where you can see them.

I much prefer to play with a lighthouse tracked kit but I've played Onward and some other roomscale games on an Odyssey and if its your only option you can make it work.
