Does buying mining card worth it?

I saw a rx 470 for about $65 here and i was thinking of buying Rx 560 2gb which is much more cheaper than the rx 470 and the rx 470 4gb is a mining card

I've had no problems buying cards that were used for mining. If your power supply can support it, I would pick the 470 over the 560.

Do you mean it was used for mining or that it is a mining edition (e.g. Sapphire RX470 4GB Mining Edition)? The biggest drawback in the second case would be the lack of display outputs.

If the seller has respectable ratings, then you should be safe with the mining card.

ohh i see since its a 8 pin connector can i just buy a converter 6pin to 8 pin is that good?

Depends on the PSU. A 6 pin is rated for 75w, an 8 pin is rated for 150w. Your power supply might be able to provide enough power, but its not a certain thing.

My 1080 Ti is over a year old and was a former mining GPU. It's running my 1440P G-Sync monitor with no noise or heat issues. Just make sure the manufacturer's warranty transfers over to new owner.

I had a friend a who used to mine with amp edition 1070's and the way he described running the gpu's he used to take upmost care of them frequent maintenance, run them at no higher than 60 percent etc. but then the opposite side ive known people who abused mining rigs so it really depends on how it was looked after.

what about if the miner change the Bios for over clocking?  where can you find the Original Bios for that card? I have picked up 3 mining cards 1 MSI R9 390 8GB, 2 MSI RX580 8GB.

Thanks I get a Submismatch error.  when I tried to program the Bios.  Checked the Version on the card using GPU-Z looks Like the same Version.. guess they didnt mod the cards great.
