Good Router

Can you guys post some really good routers under $300? I am already aware of the Ubiquiti UniFi AC. I saw the video.

 

Also, quick question. I just run an Ethernet cable from the modem to the router, and then I connect ethernet cables from my router to my pc or whatever else?
