Problems after leaving the Domain

DrDrummer

Hello Guys,

i will try to write this understandable as possible (i´m from Germany).

we run into a problem with a windows 10 Client (a Notebook) after leaving our domain-netowork and joining the "workgroup".
Now we are unable to log in. The LogIn Screen only shows the last logged-in Domain User but with no chance to change
the Username or something like that. It only shows the Password-Field. No known password works.

So it looks like a regular local User Log in but this User doesnt exist on this Computer. We activated the build in administrator
but no other User shows up in the Log in Screen.

Somebody else wo run in a problem like this?

Greets from Germany
Niklas

that's because your logins are connected to the domain.

log in as your local admin and move it from workgroup to domain.

personally i feel that workgroups suck major nutsack

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Can you type in .\Administrator in the username field?

Failing that press shift and right click power button then press restart and follow this: (https://neosmart.net/wiki/safe-mode/#Safe_Mode_in_Windows_8_81_and_Windows_10) to boot into safe mode and create a brand new local user account

Don't forget to @me / quote me for a reply =]
