Does thermal paste go bad?

It has no organic compounds (I think?), so it shouldn't spoil or anything. I suppose whatever stuff is in there to keep it viscous could dry out. But if it can survive being baked between a CPU and a heat sink for years it should survive storage in a syringe.

Hey guys, I doubt it does but I thought I’d confirm,

 

I have leftover thermal paste from my build like 6-7 years ago, and I’m upgrading on Black Friday, and want to know if my Arctic  Silver 5 is still good? Or if it goes bad? (It still squeezes out fine)
