Want to build Unraid server

Hello Linus Tech Tips Community,

 

I want to build an Unraid server, with used parts to make it cheap.

It should handle 2-3 VM's (each 4Threads and 8GB RAM) and a NAS.

I alredy have Hard drives.

I'am seaching for Hardware, avalibile on Ebay, which handles the workload under Unraid quiet well.

The Price Point is About 170$.(+Copy of unraid)

If this isn't enough for the Workload i would save more, but i have to think about it.

I hope you can help me.

You can buy a used rackmount server

@Faisal A Thanks for that tip i wasn't concedering this as an Option, because i dont have an rackmount.

You don't reallly need a rack. Some people use the £10 ikea tables or just lay them on the floor
