before installing W8.1

Before I install window 8.1 is there anything I should know?  I heard the installation is a little different from window 7. Like you have to pick a current way to do it so it would boot up faster or something like that ( not talking about putting in the SSD ).  

Any option I need to look for when installing it? thanks

No, it's roughly the same thing as Windows 7. Once it's installed, it will ask you for preferences (colors) and what account you want to link it to. (don't worry, you can switch to a local account later on if you want to)
